Re: Integration of UAA with Kerberos #uaa #kerberos

Camilo Aguilar

If you don’t have a SAML provider already in place, I would rather use Keycloak.

The SAML provider we used was our customer’s Active Directory Federated Services. We used UAA to not have to integrate our apps with SAML and Kerberos, which was our customer’s authentication and authorization solution.

Thanks, Camilo, that's very interesting and helpful. So, it's possible to do it, we just need to have a SAML provider integrated with Kerberos, and then we can integrate UAA with that SAML provider, is that correct? What SAML provider did you use?

Many thanks

[Proposal] CF-RFC 020: BOSH: setting global kernel parameters by jobs

Stanislav German-Evtushenko

Hi, everyone,

Somebody who has already tried to ensure kernel parameters to be in a certain state for a particular bosh job must have noticed that there is no simple and reliable way to do this (see https://github.com/cloudfoundry/routing-release/issues/138 as an example). I would like to share a proposal with the aim to solve it.

Link to the proposal: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BEi2A5T47K8f26B-QSotuYr-16tUCNRbX6BumNKXb7c

Pull request: https://github.com/cloudfoundry/os-conf-release/pull/47

Please let us know your opinions here, on the document or on the slack channel.

We had discussions at Orange on how kerberos could help with browser less, password less experience with cf cli. IFAIK this would however indeed imply 1st class kerberos support in both cf cli and uaa.

That would be interesting to hear if there would be interests in the community.

Guillaume.

Integration of UAA with Kerberos #uaa #kerberos

Hi

Has anyone got any experience integrating UAA with Kerberos? Basically, we are trying to obtain a bearer token from UAA by somehow providing a Kerberos ticket instead of client or user credentials.

Thanks in advance

Enrique

I just wanted to surface up the Contributor Code email in case you need it to register for Cloud Foundry Summit EU.

As you are making travel plans, please also note that Contributor Summit will be hosted again as a Day Zero event on Sep 10th.  We are still finalizing the specifics (start/end times, schedule etc.) but please do plan to get The Hague in time for the Contributor Summit.

Thank you.

Re: CF Application Runtime PMC: Release Integration Project Lead Call for Nominations

Eric Malm <emalm@...>

Hi, everyone,

Pivotal is nominating Saikiran Yerram for the Release Integration project lead in the Application Runtime PMC.

Sai has been working at Pivotal as a product manager on the Release Integration team for the past three months. Before joining Pivotal, he worked as a product manager at an enterprise marketing software company. Prior to that, he co-founded an edtech startup that helped at-risk community college students to graduate. During his time at his startup, he volunteered at CodeNation (formerly ScriptEd) where he taught coding skills in under-resourced high schools to create opportunities for students in the tech industry. Prior to this, he worked as a software engineer building a student assessment platform that helped teachers to gain deeper insights into student performance.

Please send any other nominations directly to me or in reply to this message no later than 11:59 PM PDT on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Thanks,
Eric Malm
