The eirini repository's current README (https://github.com/cloudfoundry-incubator/eirini#y-tho-y) states: "Partly a fun experiment, partly a proof of concept"

That phrasing doesn't read as a component I would want to run in production (or in a certified distribution).

That section doesn't really dive into strong detail as to "why" the project important either. I think fleshing that section out more would be valuable.
