routing-release 0.171.0 updates

Shubha Anjur Tupil

The Routing team released release version 0.171.0 last week. The features in the release include

  • Gorouter now supports websocket connections to backend applications for routes registered with tls_ports details. If your application uses a websocket connection we now support TLS between Gorouter and the application. This is part of the initiative to improve availability and avoid mis-routing in the routing plane.
  • routing-release now enables operators to expose available UAA clients via BOSH links in cf-deployment details. This PR enabling OAuth clients for routing-api via BOSH links was submitted by a CF community member. Thank you!
  • If you have been paying attention to the performance report that accompanies the release, you will notice a performance degradation. After testing older routing-release code on the same environment, we attribute the impact to IaaS changes presumably due to CVE patches.
