Because your app is just writing to stdout, regardless of what drains you may have attached, you should see no decreased performance, because the stdout -> firehose happens out of band from your application.

Is if there is any impact to an app from logging, especially when the target for the log drain isn't available? If the drain is available is there any impact to app performance when draining logs?
