If you add a couple second pause into the app, it will give the system enough time to attach the logger and you'll see the output generated by the crashing app. You can do this with a custom start command `cf push -c 'sleep 2 && <normal-cmd>'` or with a `.profile.d` script that sleeps for a couple seconds.
