Use Spruce in your next BOSH release
Dr Nic Williams
At Stark & Wayne we're liking Spruce [1] more and more in lieu of Spiff.
Spruce is a general purpose CLI to merge many YAML files together into a single YAML file - very handy for building BOSH manifests and Concourse pipelines. bosh-gen v0.21.0 is now out and is using spruce in its ./templates/make_manifest script. To learn more about Spruce - look at the example templates generated by `bosh-gen new`, and read the Spruce readme [1] [1] https://github.com/geofffranks/spruce [2] https://blog.starkandwayne.com/2015/10/19/use-spruce-with-new-bosh-releases/ Nic -- Dr Nic Williams Stark & Wayne LLC - consultancy for Cloud Foundry users http://drnicwilliams.com http://starkandwayne.com cell +1 (415) 860-2185 twitter @drnic |

Thanks Nic, I prefer Spruce over spiff as he more intuitive to use.
Not sure Yaml itself is intuitive :) On Mon, Oct 19, 2015 at 9:44 PM, Dr Nic Williams <drnicwilliams(a)gmail.com> wrote: At Stark & Wayne we're liking Spruce [1] more and more in lieu of Spiff. |
