I'm currently working on some bash scripts with 'expect' tool to automate the bosh ssh command, as I didn't found any other simple solution.

consul/ansible might a right way to solve the problem, but I'm looking for a simple solution to automate some tests, without making changes on the architecture!

Why do I want this? Mostly to test/assure the stability of the system: block the network on a machine, kill a process, do some fake load, to see if the deployment will survive or not.

I think there are more use cases and being able to run a command/script in one or all VMs can be a useful feature in bosh.

Another example can be an urgent fix, or the need of some status/metric info without a re-deployment.
